#ConfigurationManagement is… #ImpactAnalysis!
It has been a while since a posted a CM is… post. Today I want to highlight Impact Analysis. A critical capability in the #ChangeProcess is Impact Analysis. It provides not only insight in the technical #impact but also in the business impact of the change. What is the #cost and what are the #benefits. Also it should help answer the question: What happens if you do not implement this change?
Impact analysis is the foundation for GoodDecision making and helping an organization choose the most valuable changes to implement. In the end you can spend your money only once, so better make it count.
Bad decisions have a negative hashtag#CompoundingEffect and mistakes will be made, corrective actions will be needed and delays will occur. Doing a good impact analysis can prevent this negative cycle.
